Privacy Notice

This notice describes how the National Ube Association (NUA) collects and uses personal information, in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).

1. Who we are

The National Ube Association (ube.org.ph) is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. The secretariat may be contacted via the contact channel.

2. Information we collect

We collect only the information you voluntarily submit through the Membership and Contact forms — namely your name, email address, organisation, role, country, and any message you provide.

3. How we use your information

Submitted information is used solely to (a) assess and contact you regarding your application or enquiry, (b) administer membership and recognition, and (c) respond to correspondence. Information is not sold, traded, or transferred to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Lawful basis

We process your personal information on the basis of your consent, which is collected explicitly at the point of submission.

5. Retention

Information is retained for the duration of your relationship with the Association and for a reasonable period thereafter. You may request deletion at any time.

6. Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to be informed, object, access, rectify, erase or block, secure data portability, and complain to the National Privacy Commission. To exercise these rights, write to the secretariat.

7. Security

Information is stored on managed cloud infrastructure with access controls and row-level security. Only authorised secretariat personnel may access submitted records.

This notice may be updated from time to time. The current version is displayed on this page.
