The Ube Industry Association is a private industry association for the Philippine ube sector — Dioscorea alata.
Vision
A Philippine ube — Dioscorea alata — recognized worldwide as a heritage crop of verified origin and protected quality, with its value retained in the hands of the Filipino farmers and communities who cultivate it.
Mission
The Ube Industry Association exists to safeguard the heritage, integrity, and future of Philippine ube. We establish and maintain standards of origin and quality, recognize and equip the growers and enterprises who uphold them, and represent the sector to industry and the world — so that the prosperity ube generates returns to the regions and people who have cultivated it for generations.
Independence
The Association is an independent, membership-governed industry body, formed through the cooperation of companies working with Philippine Ube. It is not a government agency. Membership is open to farmers, traders, processors, exporters, cooperatives, and enterprises who meet its criteria.
